Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Hutto Roofing Company ("we," "us," or "our"), a residential roofing contractor serving Hutto, Austin and Central Texas. They apply when you browse this website, submit an estimate request, schedule an inspection, or hire us for work.

By using the site or requesting service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or request service from us.

Using this website does not create a contract for work

Nothing on this website is an offer to perform work at a stated price. Submitting a form, calling, or receiving an inspection does not obligate either of us to anything. A binding agreement for roofing work exists only when you and an authorized representative of Hutto Roofing Company sign a written proposal or contract that describes the scope, materials and price. If anything on this site conflicts with a signed contract, the signed contract controls.

Estimates and inspections

We offer free roof inspections and written estimates. A few things to understand about them:

• An estimate reflects the condition we can observe at the time of inspection. Roofs hide things. Deck rot, prior repairs, layered shingles, structural issues and code-required upgrades are frequently not visible until tear-off begins.
• If we find conditions that were not visible during the inspection, we will tell you and provide a written change order before doing additional work. You are not charged for work you have not approved.
• Estimates are valid for the period stated on the estimate. Material prices move, and we reserve the right to re-quote after that period.
• An estimate is not a warranty, a guarantee of insurance coverage, or a promise that a claim will be approved.

Insurance claims — what we can and cannot do

Storm and hail work is a large part of what we do, and Texas law is specific about the roofing contractor's role in an insurance claim. We follow it, and we want you to know where the lines are.

Where a contract with us is reasonably expected to be paid wholly or partly from property insurance proceeds and the contract price is $1,000 or more, our contract will contain the deductible notice that Texas law requires.

We also cannot guarantee that your carrier will approve a claim, cover a particular line item, or release recoverable depreciation. Coverage decisions belong to your insurer under your policy. Scheduling, weather and site access

Roofing is weather-dependent and safety-dependent. We will give you a schedule and keep you informed, but we may reschedule for rain, wind, lightning, extreme heat, or unsafe conditions. Delays caused by weather, material availability, permitting, or your insurer's timeline are not a breach of our agreement.

By scheduling work, you confirm that you own the property or are authorized to approve work on it, and you agree to provide reasonable access for crews, materials and equipment — including driveway access for a dumpster or material drop. Please move vehicles, secure pets, and remove or protect fragile items in the attic and on walls, since roofing generates vibration. We take care on every property, but we are not responsible for items you were asked to secure and did not.

Pricing, payment and change orders

Prices, payment schedule and any deposit are set out in your signed contract. Additional work outside the original scope requires a written change order signed before that work begins. Invoices are due as stated on the invoice. We may suspend work on a past-due account, and unpaid balances may be subject to interest and collection costs as permitted by law and by your contract.

Warranties

Roofing work carries two separate warranties: a manufacturer warranty on the materials, and our workmanship warranty on the installation. Their terms, duration and exclusions are set out in your contract and in the manufacturer's documentation. Common exclusions across the industry include damage from later storms, foot traffic, structural movement, poor attic ventilation you declined to correct, and work performed on the roof by others.

Warranty coverage depends on the roof being maintained — see our roof maintenance tips and our guide to how long a roof lasts. Workmanship warranty transfer to a new owner, where available, is governed by your contract.

Permits and code

We pull required permits and perform work to applicable building code. Where code requires an upgrade that was not in the original scope — decking, ventilation, ice-and-water placement, drip edge — that upgrade is added by change order. Code-required upgrades are frequently covered by insurance policies that include ordinance-or-law coverage, but that is a coverage question for your carrier, not something we determine.

Communications

When you provide a phone number, you agree we may contact you about your request by phone, text and email. Consent to marketing messages is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out of texts, or tell us in writing. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Website content and accuracy

We publish guides and reference material in our homeowner resources to help you make informed decisions. That content is general information about roofing in Central Texas — it is not an inspection of your roof, not professional advice for your specific property, and not a substitute for having someone look at it. Do not rely on a web page in place of an inspection, and never go on your roof to check something you read here.

We work to keep the site accurate and current, but we do not warrant that every page is complete, error-free, or up to date with the latest code or carrier practice.

Intellectual property

The content on this site — text, guides, photography of our completed work, layout and branding — is owned by Hutto Roofing Company or used with permission. You may read, print and share pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not republish, scrape, resell, or use our content or photographs to promote another business.

Reviews, photos and submissions

If you send us a review, testimonial, photograph or comment, you grant us permission to use it in our marketing with attribution to your first name and general area only. You confirm what you send is your own and accurate. We do not edit reviews to change their meaning, we do not offer anything in exchange for a positive review, and we do not suppress negative ones.

Disclaimers

The website is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties relating to the website, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. This section applies to the website. It does not limit the warranties we give you in a signed contract for roofing work, and it does not disclaim any warranty that cannot be disclaimed under Texas law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of this website. Our liability for roofing work is governed by your signed contract and by applicable Texas law. Nothing here limits liability for personal injury caused by negligence, for gross negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Texas law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of this website, your violation of these terms, or your misrepresentation of authority to approve work on a property.

Dispute resolution and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing anything, please contact us — most issues are resolved by a phone call and a return visit, and we would rather fix it. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Williamson County or Travis County, Texas, and you and we consent to that venue. Any dispute-resolution provision in your signed contract controls over this section for matters relating to the work.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our business or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms. Changes here do not alter a contract you have already signed.
