Privacy Policy
How Hutto Roofing Company collects, uses, protects and shares the information you give us when you request an estimate, schedule an inspection, or use this website.

Who this policy covers
Hutto Roofing Company ("we," "us," or "our") is a residential roofing contractor serving Hutto, Austin and Central Texas. This policy explains what personal information we collect through huttoroofingcompany.com, over the phone, by text, by email, and in person during an inspection or project — and what we do with it.
It applies to homeowners and property owners who contact us, request an estimate, hire us for work, or simply browse the site. By using this website or submitting a request, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or submit your information. Use of the site is also governed by our Terms of Service.
The short version
We collect what we need to inspect your roof, quote the work, do the job, and support a warranty or insurance claim if you ask us to. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your contact details with lead brokers or other roofing companies. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
Information we collect
Information you give us directly
When you fill out an estimate form, call, text, email, or speak with a member of our crew, we may collect:
- Contact details — your name, phone number, email address and property address.
- Project details — the type of work you need, the age and condition of your roof, your preferred timing, and anything else you tell us about the job.
- Scheduling information — availability, gate or access instructions, and who will be on site.
Property and inspection records
Our inspection process produces records tied to your property. These may include photographs and video of your roof, attic and exterior, moisture and damage documentation, measurement data, notes on materials and condition, and the written report we prepare for you. We treat these as records of your property and of our work on it. Our roof inspection service page explains what an inspection covers, and our guide to the signs you need a new roof covers what we look for.
Insurance and claim information
If you ask us for help documenting storm or hail damage, we may collect and handle your insurance carrier name, policy or claim number, adjuster contact information, scope-of-loss documents, and correspondence related to the claim. We collect this only when you ask for that help, and we use it only for that purpose. There are strict limits on what a Texas roofing contractor may do on an insurance claim — those limits are set out in our Terms of Service, and our storm damage insurance claim guide walks through the process.
Payment information
Payments are handled by third-party payment processors and financing partners. We do not store full card or bank account numbers on our systems. We retain invoices, receipts and payment status records for accounting, warranty and tax purposes. Our guide to Texas roofing costs explains how pricing generally works.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site logs technical information when you visit: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and time spent. This comes from server logs, cookies and similar technologies, and is used to keep the site working, understand which pages are useful, and detect abuse or spam submissions.
How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Respond to your estimate request, question, or emergency call.
- Schedule and perform inspections, repairs, replacements and installations across our roofing services.
- Prepare quotes, contracts, change orders, invoices and inspection reports.
- Order materials and coordinate crews and suppliers for your project.
- Register and administer manufacturer and workmanship warranties.
- Help document a storm damage claim when you have asked us to.
- Send project updates, appointment confirmations and follow-up on work performed.
- Send occasional maintenance reminders or service information, which you can opt out of at any time.
- Confirm we serve your location — see our service areas.
- Improve the website, our service, and our estimating accuracy.
- Meet legal, tax, insurance and recordkeeping obligations, and resolve disputes.
We may use photographs of completed work in marketing materials. When we do, we use exterior images of the roof itself and do not publish your name, street address or contact information alongside them. If you would rather we not use photographs of your property at all, tell us and we will honor that.
Phone calls, text messages and email
When you give us your phone number on a form or over the phone, you agree that we may contact you about your request — including by call and text message — at the number you provided. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies with the stage of your project.
Consent to receive marketing calls or texts is not a condition of buying anything from us. You can withdraw consent at any time: reply STOP to any text message to opt out, reply HELP for assistance, use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or simply tell us during a call or in writing. We will honor the request promptly across the channel you asked us to stop using.
Even after you opt out of marketing, we may still need to send you transactional messages about active work — appointment times, crew arrival, permit or inspection scheduling, warranty or invoice matters. If you have contacted us about emergency roof repair, we will contact you by the fastest available method.
Calls to and from our office may be recorded or monitored for quality and training purposes. Where recording occurs, we will tell you at the start of the call.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for a few purposes: keeping the site functioning, remembering form input, measuring traffic and page performance, and reducing spam submissions. Some of these are set by third-party services such as web analytics providers and form or spam-protection tools, which may collect usage data under their own privacy policies.
You can control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete them. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work, including forms. Analytics providers typically offer their own opt-out tools as well. Where required, we honor browser-based opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
When we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your contact details with lead brokers, lead aggregators, or other roofing contractors.
We share information only in these situations:
- Service providers who work for us — website hosting, form and email delivery, analytics, phone and text messaging systems, scheduling and estimating software, payment processing, and accounting. These vendors may only use the information to provide services to us.
- Crews, subcontractors and suppliers — the people who need your address, access details and project scope to actually perform the work or deliver materials.
- Manufacturers — to register a product warranty in your name, where the warranty requires it.
- Your insurance carrier or adjuster — only when you have asked us to provide documentation, and only what is relevant to the claim.
- Financing partners — only if you apply for financing through an option we offer, and only with your consent.
- Legal and safety reasons — to comply with law, a subpoena, a permit requirement, or an insurance obligation; to enforce a contract; or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, our crews or the public.
- Business transfer — if the business is sold, merged, or reorganized, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and then for as long as the law or a warranty requires.
- Estimate requests that do not become jobs — retained for a limited period so we can follow up and reference prior quotes, then removed from active systems.
- Completed project records — contracts, invoices, inspection photos and warranty documentation are retained for the life of the applicable warranty and any legally required period after, because we need them to honor warranty claims and answer questions years later. Our guide to how long a roof lasts gives a sense of how long that can be.
- Insurance claim records — retained for the period required to support the claim and any dispute arising from it.
- Website analytics — retained in aggregate or de-identified form according to our analytics provider's retention settings.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, physical and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, access to customer records is limited to staff who need it, and payment data is handled by processors rather than stored by us.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information — such as a Social Security number, driver's license number, or full financial account number — through our website forms or by unencrypted email. We do not ask for those through the website.
Your choices and your rights
You can always:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date.
- Ask us to delete information, subject to records we must keep for warranty, tax, insurance or legal reasons.
- Opt out of marketing calls, texts and emails.
- Ask us not to use photographs of your property in marketing.
Texas residents. Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas residents have rights to confirm whether we process their personal data, access it, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or certain profiling. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising or profiling of that kind. To exercise a right, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request before acting on it and will respond within the time the law allows. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will explain the outcome of that appeal.
Residents of other states. If you live in a state with its own consumer privacy law — such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or others — you may have comparable rights. Contact us and we will handle your request under the law that applies to you. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right.
Children
This website is intended for adults who own or manage property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Our site may link to manufacturers, financing partners, insurance carriers, industry associations or other third parties. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information to them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business, technology or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect. Continuing to use the site or our services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
How to reach us
If you have a question about this policy, want to know what information we hold, or want to opt out of contact, reach out and a real person will handle it.
